We recommend scheduling at least 3-4 lessons. Consistency and repetition are key elements in our swim lesson program! With that being said, you are always welcome to schedule as little or as many as you see fit!

If you live on Maui, we recommend scheduling lessons at least once a week to keep the skill building consistent! If you are visiting Maui, we recommend scheduling frequent lessons during your stay. Most of our visitors schedule lessons every day or every few days to get the most out of their stay.

Although we cannot predict exactly how your child will progress, you can expect more comfortability in the water and tips/tricks to help their swimming improve! After these lessons, we will evaluate what goals have been reached and what goals we can continue to help you conquer! Check out our social media for inspiration!

Private lessons are 45 minutes each. Semi-private lessons are 1 hour, splitting the lesson into two 30 minute sessions, 40/20, etc (depending on the swimmer's ages and abilities).

Depending on the swimmer’s ages and abilities, we teach water safety, proper holds, cup submersions and full submersions, floating with assistance, and much more! This class includes lots of singing and fun games to make the lesson less intense and more calming for the comfortability of your child.

No, you do not need to enter the water with your child. However, it always helps to be prepared just in case an instructor needs your help or your presence in the water makes your child more comfortable.
Exception: Baby Intro to Water Lessons, parents are required to enter the water with babies 12 months and younger.

Yes! We love to see families documenting their Maui swim lessons! If you would like to post these memories on social media, please tag us @mauifloatonswim! Please be respectful to our instructors, and ask for their permission if they are in your shot.

You will need a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, and any other water necessities valuable to you! Goggles are welcome as well, but not required as we have plenty of extras! We highly suggest not bringing any flotation devices, as we have all of the equipment needed to help you progress.

We have found that the most successful lessons happen when the instructor and swimmer are free from distractions, but we kindly ask at least one adult to be within eyesight and earshot distance at all times during the lesson.

We do! Our instructors are experienced with all ages. Whether you are looking for basic swimming skills, stroke refinement, or exercise, our instructors are prepared to help you meet your swimming goals!

Your CC information will be charged and an invoice and receipt will be sent to you following your swim lesson. All payments are done through Maui Float On, no cash or checks please.

We kindly ask for a 24-hour notice of cancellation. However, we understand that emergencies do come up as well as sickness, weather, and any other miscellaneous issues. We just ask for clear communication with us as we will promote clear communication with you as well!

Don’t worry! We are a mobile swim lesson company that will come to you, which includes the ocean! Our instructors have recommendations for the best beach spots to teach swim lessons at. We promote water safety and are always keeping an eye on the daily ocean reports to provide you with the best experience possible!
Terms of Use
Please read Maui Float On Swim Lessons, LLC Terms of Use and attached waivers carefully. By using Maui Float On Swim Lessons, LLC Website and Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to or are not willing to be bound by these Terms, do not access or use Maui Float On Swim Lessons, LLC Website or Services. All use of Maui Float On Swim Lessons, LLC Website and Services is at your sole and exclusive risk. Please read the following carefully to get a clear understanding of how we collect, use, protect or otherwise handle your Personally Identifiable Information in accordance with our website. To be added as an “additional insured” under our professional and liability insurance may incur additional fees. This fee is non-refundable. Please contact floatonswim@gmail.com for a quote.
ACCEPTANCE OF RISK The undersigned, of their own free will and intending to be legally bound, have executed this Agreement, Release and Assumption of Risk.
CANCELLATIONS Maui Float On Swim Lessons, LLC requires a 24-hour cancellation notice for all non-weather related cancellations. All lessons cancelled less than 24-hours prior to start time will be forfeited and a $25 cancellation fee will be applied.
WEATHER All weather-related cancellations will be made up without penalty. Weather cancellations are made at the company or instructor’s discretion. If you have any questions about weather affecting a lesson, you will be given your instructor’s contact information and may contact them directly.
POOL CONDITIONS Pool temperature needs to remain above 82 degrees Fahrenheit and pool must be clean. The instructor may cancel lessons without make-up if the pool is unsanitary or temperature falls below 82 degrees Fahrenheit.
LESSONS For any students that are under the age of 18, a parent or guardian of a least one of the students must always be present at the location of the lesson. Parents are responsible for the supervision of any of their children at the location of the swim lesson, whether the child is currently in the water with the instructor or waiting for their turn. Lessons will be forfeited, without makeup, if the parent or guardian is not present, leaves the location of the lesson or is not supervising their child.
SUPERVISION For any students that are under the age of 18, a parent or guardian of a least one of the students must be present at the location of the lesson at all times. Lessons will be forfeited, without makeup, if the parent or guardian is not present or leaves the location of the lesson.
PRICING We may adjust prices at any time and for any reason without providing prior notice.
PAYMENTS 100% of tuition is paid after completion of swim lesson. All Credit Card payment information must be collected prior to swim lesson start day. This will secure your time slots with the instructor.
BILLING Lessons may be purchased from Maui Float On Swim Lessons, LLC website. Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express cards are all accepted by our gateway processor, Square. You are responsible for providing accurate billing and contact information to Maui Float On Swim Lessons, LLC. When you make a purchase with Maui Float On Swim Lessons, LLC, you agree to pay and authorize Stripe to charge the provided card information for all applicable fees.
REFUNDS (SWIM LESSONS & WATER AEROBICS CLASSES) Your satisfaction is very important to us. If you are not satisfied with your swim lessons, you may switch out your swim instructor by contacting the office at (707) 410-3715 or floatonswim@gmail.com. Any refund requests must be made within 30 days of the first lesson. A 20% processing fee may be applied to all refunds for swim lessons. You may always pause your lessons for 1 year at no charge. All swim lessons expire 1 year after purchase date.
INSTRUCTORS All Maui Float On Swim Lessons, LLC instructors and lifeguards are independent contractors and are not employees, agents, joint ventures or partners. Maui Float On Swim Lessons, LLC uses a screening process of all independent contractors, including, but not limited to; verification of certifications and education, in-person and telephone screenings, and in-person swim trainings. Maui Float On Swim Lessons, LLC disclaims you hereby release us from any and all liability for any controversies, claims, suits, injuries, loss, harm or damages arising from or related to our website, services or your interactions with other users. If you are ever dissatisfied with an instructor, you may contact Maui Float On Swim Lessons, LLC management and request another instructor by emailing floatonswim@gmail.com or by calling 707-410-3715.
USE OF COMMUNITY POOLS Maui Float On Swim Lessons, LLC allow instructors to teach at community pools. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure the swim instructor is allowed to teach at the community pool before lessons are booked. If a swim instructor meets the student at a community pool, the client is responsible for all entrance fees for the instructor and student(s).
LIFEGUARDS Lifeguards are hired to monitor the swimmers in and around the pool/water area only. Lifeguards cannot supervise other party activities, unless confirmed with office staff prior to party and an additional lifeguard was provided for that sole purpose. Lifeguards will enforce safety rules including; no hitting, running, no horseplay and removing swimmers from the water if lightning strikes within 7 miles. You may reschedule your lifeguard for free, if the office is notified at least 24 hours prior to the start time of your party. Cancellations made within 1 week of your party are given a 50% refund. Cancellations made with more than 1 week notice will be given a full refund, but are subject to a 20% processing fee. Please note, costs incurred from adding entities as additional insureds to our insurance policy are non-refundable.
GIFT CERTIFICATES Gift Certificates may be purchased and used to be redeemed for Maui Float On Swim Lessons, LLC swim lessons, Intro to Water group classes, and lifeguarding will be sent via email to the purchaser’s email address. The recipient will be required to fill out Maui Float On Swim Lessons, LLC online registration in order to access and use our site and services. Gift certificates never expire and any used credits will remain available for use.
TERMS UPDATE Maui Float On Swim Lessons, LLC will notify you, as required by law, of any changes or updates made to these Terms. All updates will be posted on the Maui Float On Swim Lessons, LLC website.
