Maui Float On Swim Lessons, LLC ("Maui Float On," "we," "us") provides mobile private swim instruction across Maui, Hawaii. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website (mauifloatonswim.com), our booking and inquiry forms, and lead forms we run on third-party platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you contact us, request information, or book a lesson, we collect the details you provide — typically your name, email address, phone number, where you're staying or living on Maui, and information about the swimmers in your family (such as a child's age and swim experience). Because our students are often children, this information is always provided to us by a parent or legal guardian — we do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13.
Facebook and Instagram lead forms. If you submit one of our lead forms on Facebook or Instagram, Meta shares with us the information you entered (such as name, email, phone number, and your answers to our questions). Your submission is also subject to Meta's own privacy policy.
Booking and payment information. Lessons are scheduled through our booking provider (Vagaro) and payments are processed by our payment processors (such as Stripe or Square). These providers collect and store your payment card details under their own privacy policies — we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we and our service providers may use cookies and similar technologies (for example, Google Analytics and the Meta pixel) to understand how visitors use our site and to measure our advertising. This may include your IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, and general location. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can adjust ad preferences within Facebook and Google's own tools.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to respond to your inquiries and schedule lessons, match your family with the right instructor and communicate about your lessons (including by email, phone, or text message), process payments, send you relevant information about our services (you can opt out of marketing messages at any time), improve our website and advertising, and comply with legal obligations.
What we don't do
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share information only with the service providers who help us run the business — such as our booking, payment, email, and advertising platforms — and only as needed to provide our services, or where required by law.
Children's information
Information about child swimmers (name, age, swim ability, relevant health or safety notes a parent chooses to share) is provided by a parent or guardian and is used solely to deliver safe, appropriate instruction. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information directly, contact us and we will delete it.
How long we keep information
We keep contact and lesson records only as long as reasonably needed to serve you, operate the business, and meet legal and accounting requirements. You may ask us to delete your information at any time (see below), and we will honor the request unless we're required to retain certain records.
Your choices and rights
You can opt out of marketing emails or texts at any time by using the unsubscribe link or replying STOP, request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete your information.
